Our Goals  Webelos collectively is a program for 4th and 5th grade boys and girls to prepare to join a Boy Scout Troop while learning outdoor skills and participating in different adventrues. A well-run group of Webelos is a gradual change from being an 'adult-run' den to being a 'boy/girl-run' patrol ready to fit right into an adventurous scouting troop.

Summary:  The Webelos program has two major milestones - the Webelos rank badge to be earned at the 4th grade level and the Arrow of Light to be earned at the 5th grade. The final part of Webelos is bridging over into a Boy Scout troop selected individually by the scout.

The Webelos Trail
The Webelos has several required adventures:
  • Cast Iron Chef
  • Duty to God and You
  • First Responder
  • Stronger Faster Higher
  • Webelos Walkabout
Then they begin their pursuit of the coveted Arrow of Light.

The Webelos Uniform

Required:
  • Shirt (Long or Short Sleeve) Blue shirts until they've earned their Webelos rank and then they can wear tan
  • Belt
  • Neckerchief
  • Slide
  • Colors
The blue uniform will be used 4th through 5th grade - so size it appropriately.  Once they earn their Webelos rank and have the option to buy tan, it will be with them for a few years in Boy Scouts, so again, buy appropriately sized garments.

Optional:
  • Pants or Shorts
  • Belt
  • socks

The Uniform Code:

Your son should/will be encouraged to wear his uniform appropriately.  The shirt should always be tucked in and orderly. He should understand the importance of representing the entire Boy Scout Organization while in uniform.

Patches You'll Need to Buy:
  • Council Patch
  • Pack Numbers
  • World Crest Emblem (above left pocket)
  • Den Number OR Patrol Emblem (not both)
