Proven Methods of Selling Scout Popcorn!

Show & Deliver:
This method provides the highest positive responses and has benefits over the Take Order method, as it often eliminates the return trip to deliver product. Scouts bring along corn as they go door to door. When a sale agreement is reached the Scout goes to the car, gets the product, and delivers it on the spot while the customer pays. If the desired product is not on hand, the Scout performs a Take Order and returns with the ordered product at a later time. You can return any unsold product to the council.

Take Order:
This method involves uniformed Scouts going door to door to take orders for popcorn. Only about 20°/o of households are contacted about supporting Scouting. There is plenty of untapped market for the sale. Mom and/ or Dad take an order form to their work. Fellow co-workers write their order on the order form. The parent then delivers the product and collects the money in a few weeks.

Show & Sell:
This method involves setting up a table or booth at a high foot-traffic location (like a popular grocery store) where you can greet the public and offer your sale. The best results occur when Scouts are very visible, because we are selling the Boy Scouts of America to our customers.

Selling Online:
For the first-time on-line sales have been fully interrogated into the fall sales campaign. This way everyone can order popcorn straight from your Scout's account and it is shipped directly to them! Sell Online at www.popcornordering.com

REMINDER!

September Pack Meeting

                                                                        Image result for reminder

Just a reminder, tomorrow night is our September Pack meeting.   We will start at 6:30.    It will be at Ellettsville First United Methodist Church, in Rogers Hall (basement) - We will be kicking off our Popcorn Fundraiser.

Below is information regarding Scoutbook.   Scoutbook is the BSA's online unit management tool and helps Scouts, parents and leaders track advancement and milestone achievements along the Scouting trail.

Parents of returning scouts:  You were sent a Scoutbook invite in May.  If you have not accepted that invite, please do so ASAP.  If you cannot find the email, please notify Stephanie Worden at sworden4@gmail.com for a new one.

Parents of new scouts:  Once the pack has your scout's application and registration fees, Stephanie Worden is entering them into Scout Track.  You will be sent an email invite to Scoutbook and will be able to login, but you will not be able to see your scout listed under "My Family" until their application has been processed by the scout office.  Applications are being taken out to the scout office weekly.

Parents of all scouts: We are transitioning to Scoutbook because in 2020, council offices will no longer support third-party software, which Scout Track was.  We cannot go back to Scout Track.  We ask for your your patience during this transition.

If you cannot see your scout listed under "My Family" once you have clicked on the "My Dashboard" link, try the following:
1.  If you have a my.scouting.org account (necessary for Youth Protection Training), use your Scoutbook username and password to login instead of the temporary password you were sent.  This may require resetting the password for Scoutbook.  If you need assistance, first try this link.
2.  Email Stephanie at sworden4@gmail.com, explaining the problem, and giving her the parent's name and the scout's name.
3.  If the above steps do not work, submit a Help ticket to scoutbook.support@scouting.org.

If under your scout's name it says "No rank", that will update once the Bobcat Badge has been completed.  If your scout, for example, is currently a Wolf, but the rank under their name says Tiger, that is correct, as they have earned the Tiger rank and are working on the Wolf rank.

If you have any questions about Scoutbook, feel free to email Stephanie at sworden4@gmail.com .
SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT!
